Job Description

The Senior Vice President & Chief Architect of client services will be the leader of the Architecture services for our Salesforce Advisory, consulting and implementation offerings. The successful candidate will be the leader of Architecture and delivery services for clients and Partners and should be able to design technical architecture solutions that span multiple platforms and include integration and authentication across systems; manage the development lifecycle to ensure the delivery of highly secure solutions that are optimized for performance and built to scale; articulate design considerations, trade-offs, benefits, and recommendations for a technical and functional architecture.


  • Partner with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to develop and drive Salesforce future state business and technical architecture for our clients.
  • Learn and understand the near and long term needs of our customers, partners, internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Functional team to determine how best to implement solution (decisions around declarative vs programmatic vs AppExchange, etc.).
  • Escalation Point of contact for Architecture related issues.
  • Solution components that are outside of the Salesforce platform:
    - Expert platform knowledge.
    - Security.
    - Integration (including a technology/not just) and data Migration.
    - End to End Technical Solutions.
    - Service as a trusted Architect for other architects on multiple projects: typically, part-time on more than 1 project at a time.
  • People Manager have regular 1-on-1s, perform annual reviews, etc.
  • Sales Support: Help scope, solution, and estimate sales opportunities alongside a delivery lead. Assist in SOW creation, etc.
  • Practice Development: Mentor resources, take on leadership roles to expand overall practice capabilities, etc.
  • Build a best-in-class Architecture and Development team:
    - Foster and facilitate the professional growth and development of our Architecture and Salesforce development team as well as lead effective cross-functional collaboration across groups within the organization.
    - Build organizational capability within these teams by recruiting and retaining outstanding talent and providing mentoring, training (internal and external), and other opportunities for professional growth and development.
    - Partner with peer functions and organizations to deliver the training and enablement as the team requires.
    - Lead, motivate, and challenge a diverse distributed team.
  • Communicate, Collaborate, and Deliver:
    - Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and environments (public/private) and able to lead the team through strategic architectural decision making and technical challenges in implementation.
    - Communicate design and decisions and influence key Architecture decisions to our clients' executive leadership.
    - Make and meet commitments. Communicate change in plans whether they be design or timeline modifications honestly and transparently

Job Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or Engineering
  • 7+ years' experience as a hands-on Salesforce Application development manager
  • 5+ years of leading large scale Salesforce transformation programs
  • 5+ years of business and technology Transformation experience
  • 5+ years as a leader of Architecture for Enterprise Salesforce Programs
  • 3+ years in cross-functional 2nd level management/leadership roles
